Likes: Sunshine, living by the sea, sleeping in tents and taking photos – everywhere I go and of everybody. Maybe a splash of rum at weekends.
I mostly spend my days: on a Mac making things look pretty or sounding like proper English, and chasing up my contributors for their articles. My favourite part of the job is at about 3am when I’ve realised the ‘next issue’ is going to blast the last one out of the water as the people I’ve discovered and have decided to feature are just mind-blowing! The music goes on and I have a little celebration, usually with a bottle of red wine.
Top three tunes ever: Tracy Chapman – Fast Car, the ultimate ‘moment’ song. The Rolling Stones – Miss You, amazing on so many levels. 54-46 Toots. Needs no words. Polica – Wandering Star, stunning, chilling, breathtaking! Just beautiful… I know that’s four, but there are too many to choose from.
Favourite artist: Ilsa Brittain. Incredible artist and wonderful person. I am very lucky to have had her in my life. A true inspiration.
If I wasn’t me I’d be: Living on a beach in the Far East painting seascapes or a game ranger in Africa.

Likes: I have a passion for the literary world whether it’s spoken word, short stories or novels and I use these inspirations to open my imagination and write fiction. Festivals are what make my summer, I can’t think of anything better than dancing in a field, it’s my natural high!
I mostly spend my days: Learning about the latest book releases and festival news for the magazine.
Top three tunes ever: You Can Call Me Al – Paul Simon, Maps – Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Tonight Tonight – Smashing Pumpkins
Favourite artist: Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, her glacier paintings made me fall in love with abstract painting.
If I wasn’t me I’d be: Karen O! She is one kick-ass lady!

Top three tunes ever: Flume – Hold on, Little Milton – More and More, Kidnap Kid – Vehl

If I wasn’t me I’d be a: A beatnik in 1950’s America writing pornographic novels and drinking coffee with Jack Kerouac.

Top three tunes ever: Sufjan Stevens – Impossible Soul, Blur – Out of Time, Tom Tom Club – Wordy Rappinghood
Favourite artist: Too many talented people out there, but Tim Walker and Celia Birtwell always amaze me! If I wasn’t me I’d be: The Cheshire Cat.

WILLIAM FURDAS > > > Music Obsessive
Likes: Dec, Pepa, Jerome, Dom, Ball, Vanilli, Tonic.
I mostly spend my days: ?? ALWAYS spend my days!
Top three tunes ever: Dial up modem connection noise, the awkward pause after a rouge Mallard has wondered into a wedding reception and has blown off in front of an elderly relative and Gangnam Style by Psy. Favourite artist: Based on the assumption that poetry is the finest art form, and Paradise Lost is the greatest poem (to date) I feel that John Milton is the undisputed answer, either him or Pudsey the dog from BGT.
If I wasn’t me I’d be: Circular illogic; if I was someone else I’d still classify myself as “me” I guess if I didn’t recognise myself as “me” I’d have a severe case of anosognosia, due to a damaged or malformed frontal lobe.

I mostly spend my days: Dressing up in women’s clothes and making the team cups of herbal tea.
Top three tunes ever: I Should Be So Lucky by Kylie Minogue. That’s it, there is nothing else.
Favourite artist: Myself! I think everybody’s best artist is themselves. People need to express more!
If I wasn’t me I’d be: In a German boy band and auditioning for The X-Factor.
