As one of the UK’s leading festivals of international and experimental music and sound, Colour Out of Space takes place over ten days at various venues throughout Brighton and appears for three days at The Old Market theatre in Hove.
Featuring over thirty performances from visionary sound artists all over the world they include: Ilan Volkov, Hiroshi Hasegawa (Astro), Azuma Reiko, Angela Sawyer, Dinosaurs With Horns, Maya Dunietz, Alessandro Bosetti, Joachim Nordwall, Luke Fowler with many more included in the line-up. Do not miss out on this weekend of improvised and avant-garde noises.

Vera Boing
When: Now until 1st January (Closed Mondays)
Where: The Brighton Arts Club

With giant suspended sculptures made from recycled washing machines and cutlery, Vera Boing is an experimental artist partial to using kitchen utensils and appliances to make her works. If you have ever hated the idea of doing the washing up before then this may be just for you as Vera breaks barriers with her art installations. The exhibition is at The Brighton Arts Club until the new year so make sure you don’t miss it.

Building a Photography

This evening at The Brunswick promises “spiritual messages and deep rhythms to keep the body and soul dancing”. Who wouldn’t want that? Performances throughout the night come from Linos Wengara and his band that combine traditional African sounds with an equally powerful modern show. Reggae DJ’s playing original roots and new releases are also due to feature during the event.

Celebrating the seven years of the Brighton Rock Artist Group, BRAG celebrate their final show with a range of new and rare screen-printed gig posters.
