With over 5,500 visitors over the long weekend you are able to buy handmade products, prints and photographs with the opportunity to grab the perfect handmade gift for Christmas – plus the perfect chance to meet like-minded creatives like yourself!

Speaky Spokeyspeaky-spokey

Speaky Spokey is a night dedicated to spoken word that features a collection of performances honouring books and short stories all the way to comedy and live performances. With tickets on sale now for the event you can see Ella Berthoud and Susan Elderkin speak about their medical A-Z with novels as the cures  – whether you are suffering from a broken heart or a broken leg all will be answered. Damian Barr, Kevin Jackson and poet Roger Robinson will also be at the event.

Hanover GIANT STUFF SWAPhanover-stuff-swap

People of Brighton will be congregating at the Hanover Community Centre for a night of sharing and caring as the giant stuff swap takes place. Highlighting how we can save money and take care of our planet, there will be speakers who tell personal and inspiring stories in a bid to creating a better and more economical world. Don’t forget there will be nibbles so bring food and stuff to swap and get involved.

Makers Boutiquemakers-boutique

After previously featuring the Makers Boutique when it took place a few weeks ago it is back again for a Christmas spectacular. With a host of homemade arts and crafts ranging from photography and fashion to textiles and jewellery the world is your oyster in terms of choice. They also have a Dogs Trust raffle where they ask you to help a hound for a pound with handmade goodies up for grabs.  For the first year you can also pay for items via credit card.

Saints of the Lotsaints – Twisted Tales

For an evening of fairy tale enchantment Brighton event specialists Saints of the Lot are transforming the Marlborough theatre into a kingdom of snake charmers, flautists, belly dancers and musicians. Adapting Shakespeare’s ‘A midsummer nights dream’ Jack Wooley will be presenting his fairy tale live alongside artistic projections with enchanting performances taking place. Get ready for a drag filled evening of local artists, fairies, witches and goblins of the night.
